The rapid growth of the technology economy brings with it new challenges and opportunities for government and communities around the world. Micron Technology Inc. believes that an active dialogue with our employees, shareholders, elected officials and the general public on pending public policy initiatives and their potential effect on ours and the semiconductor industries' global competitiveness is critical. This is why Micron engages in the policy process in the U.S. and around the globe to contribute to policy discussions directly and through industry associations, provide submissions on important legislative initiatives and participate in public forums.
Micron Government Affairs coordinates and represents the company in this important dialogue.
Mission Statement
"To ensure Micron's competitiveness by engaging in the public policy process to help the Company operate efficiently at all of our worldwide facilities."
This includes, but is not limited to, assisting various Micron departments and sites as they interact with all levels of government in the course of doing business—from paying taxes to complying with environmental regulations to helping improve educational systems. Provide assistance to Micron external communications team with opinion leaders worldwide.
